Responsible party
STANDARD. Hybrid Training, operated by Gerhard Venter in Cape Town, South Africa (“STANDARD.”, “we”, “us”), provides online personal training and coaching. For privacy requests, contact your coach through the member portal or the contact details supplied with your coaching agreement.
What we collect
We may collect identity and contact details; account credentials handled by our authentication provider; training goals, experience, workouts and performance; body measurements, injuries, health conditions, medication, nutrition notes and wellbeing check-ins; emergency-contact details; messages, appointments, package and payment records; and technical records needed to secure and operate the service.
Health information is special personal information. We process it only where necessary for safe, personalised coaching and with the permissions required by law.
Why we use it

- To monitor progress, wellbeing, adherence and safety.
- To manage appointments, messages, packages and payment records.
- To operate, secure and improve the member portal.
- To meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations.
- To send optional marketing only when you have chosen to receive it.
Depending on the activity, processing is based on your consent, performance of the coaching agreement, legal obligations, or legitimate operational interests that do not override your rights.
Who may receive information
Information is accessible to your coach and may be processed by contracted technology providers that host the portal, database, authentication and communications. We do not sell personal information. We require service providers to protect information and use it only for authorised purposes. Some providers may process data outside South Africa; where this occurs, we use appropriate contractual and security safeguards.
Security and retention
We use access controls, individual accounts, database permissions and reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Information is kept while your coaching relationship is active and afterwards only for as long as reasonably required for service, legal, accounting, safety or dispute purposes. Consent and transaction records may be retained to demonstrate compliance.
Access and control
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw optional marketing consent; or complain about how your information is handled. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate earlier lawful processing and may make personalised coaching impossible where the information is essential to the service.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
Children, accuracy and updates
The service is intended for adults aged 18 or older unless a separate guardian-approved arrangement is made. Keep your health and contact information accurate and tell your coach when it changes. We may update this notice; if a material update requires renewed acknowledgement or consent, the portal will ask you to review it.
